Delivery in the UK is usually within 3-5 working days once full payment has been received and cleared. Order despatch can take up to 28 days. Your Jewellery can be mailed to you in three different ways.

Delivery Charges:
Retail Orders over £100.00 in the UK - Free Delivery and Postal Insurance.

For orders under £100.00 delivery is £5.50, (Special Delivery) which includes our recommended but optional insurance of your products up to £500. This method of postage insures your jewellery against loss or damage, but we do not guarantee next day service from the date of placing your order. if you need your items urgently then please telephone or make a note in the comments section on your order page.

We also send items by1st and 2nd Class Recorded Delivery (Cost £2.50 and £2.00 respectively), although this does not insure jewellery it does require a signature on delivery. Special Expressions Ltd will not be held responsible for jewellery sent by this method if it is mislaid or not delivered.


FOR ORDERS DELIVERED TO THE REST OF EUROPE

Please bear with us for your delivery if we are away at shows.
We do travel around the UK (see FORTHCOMING EVENTS) and sometimes we are in places where we cannot access the Internet or there isn’t a Post Office for miles! We will endeavour, because we know that you want to get your hands on your new items of jewellery, whether it’s the Earspiral Earrings, the Earpins, Threaders, Hookers or even the 3D animals, bracelets or necklaces, to get them to you as soon as we physically can.

Special Expressions accepts payments by most major credit/debit cards, including Switch, Delta, Solo, Electron, Visa Debit, Visa and Mastercard, and also accept cheques and postal orders.

We also accept payment with our own Special Gift Vouchers.

We understand as well that sometimes you may want an item of our wonderful, unique Jewellery, but do not have funds available straightaway. We do accept part payments/instalments on an item. This will hold the price seen online at the time of your first payment. – Please email if this is an option you would like to know more about.

Delivery Address
All deliveries will be made to you at the address specified by you in the order. We may, at our discretion and expense, deliver parts of your order separately.

When sent by Special Delivery or Recorded Delivery within the UK a signature will be required. Ownership of the products shall pass to you once we have received payment in full.

If you decide to have your order delivered to a different address than your own, a signature will still be required and the general conditions of delivery will remain unchanged.

Lost Packages
For orders in the UK we highly recommend that you INSURE your order and use Special Delivery especially if the item is over £34.00. This is, of course, up to you, the customer. If your order or any part of your order is not delivered to you, please contact us within 10 days and we will investigate.

Recorded Delivery does not insure Jewellery but does require a signature and is trackable to a certain degree. Special Expressions will not be held responsible for jewellery sent by this method if it is mislaid or not delivered.

Please be aware that if we are not informed of any Special Delivery (UK) packages not arriving within 30 days, an insurance claim cannot be made and therefore the customer will be unable to claim any loss from Special Expressions Ltd.

Cancellations
In the event we are unable to deliver your order within our standard delivery timescales (28 days) you are entitled to cancel your order with no penalty.

As we do not take payment for online purchases from your credit/debit card until your order is dispatched, you will not have been charged for the order.

Returns
Special Expressions strive to supply you “Our Special Customer” with superior products.

You may return unused or defective items for refund or replacement within 30 days of purchase. Postage charges for the return are non-refundable unless the item is deemed defective.

To return an item please contact us in writing beforehand and wait for a confirmation before returning goods. Written contact can be in any of the following formats - email or letter.

You will receive a refund, or your credit card will be refunded, no later than 4 weeks after Special Expression’s receipt of returned goods.

Our Earspirals tm are guaranteed against loss!
If it fell out of your ear, we will replace it for FREE!
If you lost it some other way, we will replace it for 1/2 the price of a pair. Please include cheque or card details on returning the “lonely” one.

We need the remaining Earspiral tm to be able to match it. Put it in the purple box it came in, if you still have it, and in a padded envelope or cardboard box for protection along with a note saying how you lost it, and Mail it INSURED (Special Delivery in the UK), enclosing stamps or cheque to the value of the Special Delivery Postage to allow us to return the Earspirals tm to you.

Just send back both Earspirals tm, even if only one is damaged. (We need the pair to match them).

Our Earspirals tm are guaranteed against discolouration
Most discoloration on the 14K Gold-filled is caused by hairspray or makeup. To keep your Earspirals tm bright and shiny as new, put them in a cup of water with three to five drops of ammonia and two the three drops of dishwashing liquid. Swish them around for a few minutes, let them soak for 5 minutes, rinse in clean warm water and put on a towel to dry. Polish with a lint free cloth and they will be bright as new.

If this fails to remove discoloration, put them in the purple box they came in, if you still have the box, and in a padded envelope or cardboard box for protection along with a note saying, “Please Clean”. Mail them INSURED (Special Delivery in the UK) enclosing stamps or cheque to the value of the Special Delivery Postage to allow us to return the cleaned Earspirals tm to you.

Repair & Replacement time
Please allow up to 8 weeks for us to repair or replace and post them back to you. (More often repair time is within 2 weeks). Then you can enjoy your Earspirals tm again.

If you are not completely satisfied, for whatever reason, or even if you just change your mind, with the items of ear jewellery that you have purchased please follow the instructions below: -

To return an item please contact us in writing or email and await confirmation before sending item back. Please repack your Earspirals in their original packaging (if possible) enclose a copy of your purchase information and return them within 7 working days by INSURED mail (Special Delivery in the UK).

Please pop in a note to say why you are returning the Earspiral tm earrings or any of our wonderful jewellery. We ask for this so we can note your comments and use them to further improve our already tremendous service that we provide along with our superior products!!

Return Postage charges are non-refundable (unless the item is faulty). You will be refunded the cost of your original order and we will still be friends!

Items purchased as a gift returned to Special Expressions Ltd
If you return a gift purchased for you at Special Expressions Ltd, you may either exchange for another item to the value of the item returned or you may have a Gift Voucher to the value of your return. Please advise us of your return before sending to us.The Gift Voucher may be used as part or full payment for future purchases from our website. AND Please don't be troubled, the person who sent you the gift will never know, unless of course, you tell them.

Gift Voucher Refund
If you returned an item for which you used a Gift Voucher as part or full payment, we will refund the gift voucher portion to your gift voucher account (if you have any account with us) and any non-gift voucher portion to the card used for the original transaction.

Special Orders and Personalised Items Made to Order
There are a few items listed on our website that are marked “Special Order”.
When placing an order for one of these amazingly wonderful pieces of jewellery, or for Personalised items made to order, unless they are faulty or defective, you are not able to return these for refund. (this does not affect your statutory rights).

But as a Gesture of goodwill and at the discretion of Special Expressions we may issue a Gift Voucher to the value of the item, or replace with another item from our website.

With reference to any query or questions regarding orders or products, please keep your receipt in a safe place. This will be needed for any returns, replacements or repairs.

Statutory Rights
This next section describes how we calculate refunds – none of them affecting your statutory rights.

How Refunds are Calculated
Items returned within 30 days that are defective or faulty

Special Expressions Ltd will check all items that are returned as damaged or defective. In the event we find no fault, we will refund you for the item but not any other charges.

When you send your item back to us, we'll process the returned item then notify you via e-mail of the amount of your refund. Unless you are wanting a replacement. Your refund will be in the same form of payment originally used for purchase and within four weeks of our receiving the returned item. Return Postage costs will be reimbursed in full for faulty or defective items.

Your right to cancel
UK consumers have the right under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 to cancel their order within a "cooling off period" which concludes 7 working days from the day after taking delivery. Cancellation, must include your order number, your full name and address, and be in the form of a fax, email or letter and be sent to our address as listed on the contact page of this site. If you cancel your order under the “cooling off period” then you will be responsible for returning the goods to us, otherwise you will be responsible for paying our costs in recovering the goods. You must make sure that the goods remain undamaged and unused and in saleable condition to be entitled to any refund. The delivery of the goods to you is a separate contract for services and is not covered by the cooling off period; therefore any refund made will not include the costs of delivery of the goods to you.
